A simple agreement for a simple ritual. By using Daily Mood Journal, you agree to the terms below.

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Daily Mood Journal mobile application (the “App”) operated by Daily Mood Journal (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

Please note: Daily Mood Journal is a personal wellbeing tool, not a medical device or a substitute for professional care. If you are in crisis, please contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services.

01Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

02Account

You may create an account using our authentication providers (email, Apple ID, or Google sign-in). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

03The service

Daily Mood Journal provides emotional-wellbeing and self-reflection tools, including:

Daily mood check-ins across seven feeling families
A personal brain map that fills with color as you log
Emotion, trigger and note tracking
Personal insights, trends and statistics
Daily reminder notifications
Private history and calendar

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time without prior notice.

04Premium subscription

Certain features require a Premium subscription. Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store.

Payment is charged to your App Store account at confirmation of purchase
Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your device’s account settings
Refunds are handled by Apple according to their refund policy
No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods

05Your content

Your check-ins, notes and reflections are yours. By using the App, you grant us a limited license to store, encrypt, sync and display your content back to you as part of the service. We do not claim ownership of your personal entries.

06Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the App for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the App
Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure
Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access the App
Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity

07Intellectual property

The App and its content, including its design, brand, illustrations, and user interface, are owned by Daily Mood Journal and protected by copyright and intellectual-property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission. This excludes your own personal entries, which remain yours.

08Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. The App is provided for personal wellbeing purposes and is not a substitute for professional mental-health advice.

09Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Daily Mood Journal shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the App. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for violation of these Terms, without prior notice. You may delete your account at any time through the App’s settings. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.

11Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.
